About the role

Build a community for children and youths by providing group intervention within Impart's community programmes. These programmes integrate group therapeutic intervention with the youths' interests, such as sports or the arts.

Activities may include Boxing, Muay Thai, Calisthenics, Music, Video Production, and more.

Commitment

● Minimum 3.5-month commitment (including training period)

During the engagement period: 3–4 hours/week
● Weekly programme session with the youth
● Digital check-ins, if needed

Responsibilities

Administer group intervention to youths by:
● Attending mandatory training in the relevant modality/framework for intervention
● Reviewing session content and delivery materials in advance
● Preparing all necessary logistics for each week's intervention
● Delivering or assisting in the delivery of the group intervention
● Actively participating in activities alongside youths and reinforcing key learning points from the intervention
● Maintaining accurate documentation by writing up group session notes after each session

Ensure a physically and emotionally safe environment by:
● Attending group supervision to uphold quality care throughout the programme
● Escalating any safety concerns or issues internally

Engage with youths and stakeholders outside of sessions by:
● Providing session updates to youths’ family members or stakeholders
● Conducting mid-programme check-in with the youths’ family members
● Conducting digital check-ins with the youths, their family members, and stakeholders, if needed

Requirements

● Must be 21 years or older
● Minimally, must be a postgraduate student in counselling, psychology, or a related field
● Availability on some weekday evenings is preferred — especially for post-graduate students looking to fulfill practicum hours through this role
● Experience in youth engagement in a group setting is preferred, but not required
