About the role
Build a community for children and youths by managing Impart's community programmes. These programmes integrate youths' interests in activities (such as sports or arts) with group interventions.
Programmes include activities such as Boxing, Muay Thai, Soccer, Calisthenics, Music, Video Production, and more.
Commitment
● Minimum 3.5-month commitment (including training period)
During the engagement period: minimum of 3 hours/week
● Weekly programme session with the youth
● Brief digital check-ins/interactions with the youth
Responsibilities
Ensure the smooth running of each programme session by:
● Preparing all necessary logistics, such as refreshments and activity materials
● Encouraging attendance by contacting youths and relevant caregivers/stakeholders before each session
● Promoting participation during the programme
● Assisting youths in safely and effectively using equipment, when applicable
● Notifying staff members of any injuries sustained during the programme
● Administering surveys to youths, if needed
Maintain a safe environment, both physically and emotionally, by:
● Managing any conflicts that arise among youths
● Reinforcing ground rules and guiding youths to act fairly, kindly, and patiently within the programme
Participate in post-session debriefs to:
● Ensure learning objectives have been met
● Communicate any new insights regarding youths in the programme internally, to facilitate comprehensive follow-up care
Requirements
● Must be 16 years or older
● Experience in youth engagement in a group setting is preferred, but not required
